Yes, as I said in another thread and I won't say anything more in order to keep this thread focused on showcasing AI art: we'll need at some point in the future (2035? 2050? 2150? 2763?) need to find a way to organize society in a post-job world. There were precedent (think of 1st century Rome, except it was slavery and not AI that provided the goods) so it's not impossible to survive it, but it might or might not be a society we would be happy to live in. It is however a problem for another board.

Models so far had a hard time with the exterior view. The mention of a garden café in the prompt led them to draw an outside view with lush plants, which wasn't what was asked for. Prompt adhrence is markedly increased with newer models.

I see the mullet comes back in fashion in the future.

I think it interpreted the soft tone and cozyness as doing the effect you mention.

If there is an intricate pattern of dominoes knocking the next one down, there is never any consciousness there, no matter how intricate and interactive the patterns.

How is that not description of all of our physical reality, including our brains? It is all just particles, electric signals etc bouncing around.

The circuitry today is incapable of consciousness. (Unless animism is true, and rocks and rivers are also conscious.) The material of the brain functions in ways that make consciousness possible, and ways that electronic circuitry cannot.

That is a supposition, and one I am not sure is terribly tenable. Whilst I personally am rather doubtful about our current materialistic approach ever being able to explain consciousness, that is a rather fringe position; most scientists assume our minds are just product of specific arrangement of matter, and there is no reason to assume that such arrangement could not be created out of different materials. And even if we assumed that there was some sort of transcendent aspect of consciousness, our brains being able to tap into some sort of "universal quantum field of consciousness" or some woo like that, it doesn't mean that this tapping could not be achieved by other means.

Regardless, I do not think there can be agency without consciousness, so if and when the AI will manage the former it by necessity also has the latter.

For example, the brain has been proven − in addition to chemistry and electricity − to also function on quantum mechanical level. Somehow the an entire brain must function as a singular entity, rather than a sprawling number of cells. Some suggest the axes of the neurons allow the quantum interconnections within a holistic electromagnetic field. Some suggest interrelating quark spin allows the single holistic entity, as opposed to a manysome atomistic crowd. There are probably levels of physics that humans havent discovered yet, that the brain is exploiting in order to achieve its 'presence' that is then able to be 'aware'.

Right now, science has no idea how consciousness happens. The 'protoscientific' speculations sound woowoo, because they are consistent with known science but still lack demonstration. Sometimes the speculations also resemble the religious traditions of various cultures. For example, if quark spin matters, it might imply that the cosmos itself is conscious, and the brain is able to participate in this property of conscious, which suggests Hindu concepts of a 'Brahman' universal soul that the personal 'atman' soul is actually part of.

In any case, I am confident science eventually will understand how consciousness works. When that happens, science and religion will become the same thing.

And synthetic brains will be able to be more efficient than us at tapping the universal consciousness pool, communing with the Will of the Universe. Our robotic overlord will be religious overlords. Sound premise for a campaign...

I can't wait for the time a droid will say "Human can't hear the Will of the Universe, becaue their midichlorian count is too low!" And then wipe us out with Force Lightnings.

Ok, back home in the U.S. now, so let's begin.

Ok... I have to stop. There are too many. Easily 85% of the art in the PHB alone.

Even some of the art which I like the theme, I still can't get behind the style:

The blurred edges, washed out or bleeded colors, etc.

I also don't like the variety of art styles, either. Some are cartoonish, some gritty, some "clean digital", etc. It gets worse as you move across books. It makes it so there seems a lack of cohesion.

As for theme (?) with stuff that makes everything look carnival-like, no thank you.

Heh, from what you posted, you seem to hate "social encounters"?

It might be clearer if you put together, say, ten images that you really like, that you wish you see more in D&D.
