Oh Susan is back! Thats going to be interesting to see if she actually comes back (and then bigenerates)

and if Bigeneration is a common thing there must be a whole lot of extra Timelord dopplegangers running around 'out there', the Last of the Timelords monicker really needs to be retired.
Good to see the Rani back however. Mrs Flood does seem overly submissive (which is strange for a Timelord especially one like The Rani)

I also love the fact that the Eurovision Song Contest survives and even with the addition of aliens looks and sounds exactly the same

fair enough. I'll amend my statement to Disney and the studios are strongly trying to Stars wars'ify doctor who, and Star Trek. My statement was far too broad. There are other sci fi IP's that have stayed true to thier Scifi .

Ummm. Disney has zero to do with Star Trek. As in nothing.

We get it. You don’t like the new Doctor Who. Cool. That’s all you need to say.

But claiming that you do t like it because of made up reasons is going to get push back.

Hrm. The Rani does nothing for me unfortunately. I had drifted away from Doctor Who in the Sylvester McCoy era. I don’t recall ever seeing these episodes.

This had a lot less impact on me.

But “grandfather”? That hit right in the feels.

As a long-time fan, I know that there's a segment of the fandom that's wanted The Rani back for years, but I honestly don't think it's a good idea. They'd need to do something unique with her, and "cold, evil, scientist lady" really is one note.

I'll hold out some hope, but at this moment, I'd rather have Missy back.
