Sorta. Inflated monster HP overall still results in an overall nerf I suppose.
I have not seen that in action. I, finally, convinced someone in one of my old groups to DM. It is the first time I have played since 2002. He chose 5.5. So far, we are in Tomb of Annihilation and everything melts and he is using the new versions of the monsters. This was supposed to be a more difficult AP.

HP inflation just makes things more boring. In fact, the fights are more boring because the monsters have lost a ton of flavor.

Yeah noticing that.

Only had 3 combats yesterday because Vampire spawn fir exampke have almost double the HP. So do fights.

A low fight took a while. Another medium fight everything got paralyzed other medium fight the CR 11 got 1 action the CR3s did marginally better due to be targeted less.

I suspect the buffed initiative role mean a lit of higher CR types might get 1 action off then get stun locked.

My gelatinous cube got slow locked... other than that I have not noticed enemies being stunlocked all the time. Let's see how it will go on later at higher levels. I think hp of enemies goes down fast to be honest. The only anoying part is book keeping.

I have spell caster heavy group and a monk.

Command. Tashas, stunning strike, hold person and twin spell.

Interest, I generally find the 5e25 versions of monsters more flavorful IME. I am a player not a DM though so maybe my perspective is different. But they (‘24 monsters) seem to have more interesting actions, reactions, bonus actions, and legendary actions from the combats we have had since the 2025 MM came out.

They're even bigger buckets of hp and outside of missing types thro saving throws are still mediocre.
Makes them very vulnerable to buffed spells especially low level ones.

Maybe, not my experience though. Of course we only have one caster in our group. In fact, he usually goes with damage spells because monsters always seem to shrug off condition inflicting spells (ie they make a lot of saves)
