Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Season 2 Nod GIF by The Office

So anyway, I think I'll pick up Cy_Borg.

Unrelated to the ABOVE modern hellscape 'feature' yet still related to our modern hellscape.

I often wonder if its worth it to just let it all out and put it here as a form of release, even if it results in an earned and accepted warning point.

So far, I can resist and just go to the gym instead but boy some days...
Lincoln had a habit of writing angry letters and stuffing them in a drawer rather than sending them. Maybe writing out the angry but not posting it will give you the benefit of venting without drawing the wrath.

At work, when I am responding to an idiot via email -- which happens more often than I'd like -- I always bcc: my supervisor and sometimes their supervisor, so that they are looped in, in case this ends up escalating, but also so that I don't say anything I wouldn't say in front of my boss. It's been a good regulator and probably kept me from saying something that would have gotten me fired.

The joy of working from home, I have time to start yelling at the walls or ceiling before I have to respond.

Also, I have several layers between myself and my nemesis.

Sales.

I was feeling done with the internet in general and rpg related stuff online. Probably at the tail end of a depressive episode.

But I played D&D with pals and it kept going. Called home “I gotta finish this battle.”

But it ended up being a series of battles…and a chase…and a character got their brain eaten and pc died.

I left with a belly full of pizza and a renewed love for my now 8th level cleric of wee Jas. D&D and games are making sense again. I am building terrain anew. And I realized the internet is FULL of energy/fun vampires. You MUST recharge your hobby battery…

Or you fall into the pit of “here is what your game sux and you play wrong…na what u like is wrong and…”

Get bent. My d20 calls again.

And that is why X is blocked and Y unfollowed. And why that alone won’t do it. You gotta get in the hobby.
