I wanted to maintain a landline, as it would be a pain to try and update everyone and everything that uses that number by default, so I went VOIP and save myself maybe $500 a year by doing it.My rural grandparents don't even have a landline anymore, and according them most people their age are cutting them as unnecessary expenses.
I don't know why you guys are laughing. I know people who go to aol.com, to go to google.com, to go to their email provider's site. I may have to cancel my cell phone!
