D&D 5E (2024) Heroes of the Borderlands

Ooookay. Now my Distributor is saying that there is no WPN "Early Release" for it (in spite of them having it on their shelves) and they can't release it until the 16th.

WotC's messaging on this has gone back and forth for weeks, with them originally saying there wasn't, then there was. They also originally told us to schedule In-store Play events for it starting Aug 26, but have pushed those back as well.

Methinks the head doesn't know what the posterior is up to.

Polygon had their review posted to their RSS feed and then yanked it down before I could read it this morning. It definitely feels like, once again, they're having some confusion about the street date here.

The most recent news I saw said there was no EA period.

So I am now told. I believe that there never was, but that it took a LONG time for that information to "trickle down". I have been asking for six weeks, and I have been constantly told, "Yes! There is Early Access!"

The reason I kept asking is because I was getting conflicting answers from some internet sources.
