Wikipedia inherited sainthood because AI came along as the new devil when it came to people "doing research."

I'll need a source or citation on how normal it is.I don't know why it's become so normal to refuse to provide a source if someone asks for it, and increasingly to be rude to the person asking for it, but I don't care for it.
I just love when I post what is obviously an opinion, not meant to be taken as fact, and someone just has to call me out with, "Well that's not a fact. It's just your opinion." Yes, indeed. It's my opinion. Why would I be posting the opinion of someone else?I'll need a source or citation on how normal it is.
Just kidding. Really, in my opinion, I think it boils down to "citation please" being a way to not engage with the discussion. And this board is about discussion, its not a medical conference or academic setting. People put out their opinion, or an opinion based on "whatever", and the first reply is "citation please." Then a citation is provided, or at least some evidence, and the citation caller then says "that's not sufficient" and around and around we go.
At least, that's what I see.
Yes... and no.Water's not wet without a citation on Wikipedia. It's been a reliable source for more than a decade.

Seems like a time you should have said "citation please"And I wish that I had bought Games Workshop stock when all the armchair financial experts were calling for their "imminent demise" over the last 30 years. Or at least if I had a dime every time someone posted they were going to go bankrupt 'soon'(tm). Must have something to do with fanbases or something...
I've been trying to be careful about using "IMO" and "To me, this is such and such" type statements because inevitably someone gets really grumpy.I just love when I post what is obviously an opinion, not meant to be taken as fact, and someone just has to call me out with, "Well that's not a fact. I do from time to time, also, but usually I just feel that I shouldn't have to state the obvious.I've been trying to be careful about using "IMO" and "To me, this is such and such" type statements because inevitably someone gets really grumpy.
