Definitely. The lecturers noted that there may be client agreements that limit or bar the use of AI, and that trumps your firm policies or individual preferences.Or maybe not, because our clients seem to have a similar opinion.
The lecturers also pointed out things that surprised me, like that some of the larger firms are developing their own in-house AI systems. This is partly a response to the fact that any client data or work product put into an AI could be used for training those AIs…meaning it could subsequently be used by others, which is a confidentiality breach.
