Who Should Gal Gadot Play In The New DCU?

You don't have to look super strong to have supernatural strength. Buffy the Vampire Slayer wasn't buff either. Or Lynda Carter for that matter. Kimberly Kane fills out the costume nicely.

Give Adrianne Paliki a chance since her show never got picked up.
You don't have to look strong, but I think ot works better for wonder woman, a literal warrior woman. Gal was model thin, really didn't suit the look to me.

Jason Momoa was cast as Aquaman because they wanted to try to make Aquaman "cool". It didn't work.

It didnt? The first Aquaman movie did well financially and got good fan scores. For a while it was the best movie in the DCU (I'd say it still is)

As for Gal, I think should be awesome as Talia Al Ghul

I thought she was fine enough? I dont see a problem.
There's literally no problem unless you want her in another DC comic movie (the initial thread premise). If you do, 'fine enough' plus her asking price, Wonder Woman 1984's box office return, and some (political and thus hard to discuss here) popularity issues are a hurdle.

Honestly, except for Cavill (who seemed like a great Superman in an imperfect solo film) and Leto's Joker (who seems more like your buddy's Ace Ventura impression than a Batman Villain), 'fine enough' has been the order of the day for the characters (various actors have been controversial outside their acting). Even Mamoa's non-Aquaman was a deliberate subversion (one may or may not like) that he carried off well. The problem (again, given the thread premise) is that fine enough doesn't get you asked back.

Momoa was a great Aquaman, I enjoyed both of his movies.

I'd bring back Margot Robbie, if she wanted to come back and was affordable, as Harley Quinn.

We're watching the second season of Peacemaker now, and it makes a great argument for the second Suicide Squad movie remaining a part of the new DCU (which is already a done deal, as of the hilariously redone recap at the top of the second season).

Otherwise, I'm fine with them starting fresh. Part of being a DC Comics fan is coming to terms with giant universal reboots. This is just one more.
