Sure, bit then I don't think there are a lotnof filmmakers out there with a record like Gunn's.
Yup, I loved Waititi’s Thor films though Love and Thunder* was distinctly more hit and miss. Obviously Aussie Thor is a great version of the character. Waititi is generally a brilliant filmmaker, but Gunn is probably better suited for superhero films.
*Also I was quite disappointed that the film didn’t go with its original plot concept, which was Queen Valkyrie searching for a consort - options would have included Jane Foster and Sylvie. Sadly I think Disney wasn’t very impressed with that idea.

Really? Personally, I prefer Ragnarock, What We Do In the Shadows, and JoJo Rabbit to anything Gunn has done. But we’ll see how (and if) that Judge Dredd film turns out.
As for Supergirl, looks like a lot of fun.
Milly Alcock feels perfectly cast.

I think Waititi's issue for most people is that he's probably less consistent than Gunn.
I agree that the best of Waititi's stuff, like What We Do in the Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople, is probably better than anything Gunn has done, but he also is capable of crashing the car into a tree in a way that Gunn hasn't so far.
For example, I love Peacemaker and Our Flag Means Death, but there's no question that Peacemaker is a much better show, top to bottom, whereas there are a lot of times that individual Our Flag Means Death episodes could have used another pass or two.

I think it would depend on if we're talking about them as writers or directors. If the former, Gunn has some real stinkers dragging him down.
