But I know that can't be true, because if you truly understood The Topic, you'd know that the only real solution with any merit at all, is to use Hero System to model and run it. Wow. Yog-Sothoth.com has gone offline permanently. I hope a place can be find to host a permanent mirror, the Forum was very high signal-to-noise (albeit specifically devoted to Lovecraftian games), and the Wiki hosted a large number of author-contributed scenarios and supplements that, I'm reasonable sure, can't be found anywhere else on the Internet...

Ugh. I host some online resources that are decades old and that people would miss if they were gone. They can sometimes be a pain to administer -- I've left them frozen in amber, as much as possible, for a reason -- but I would make sure everyone had adequate warning if I no longer felt up to the challenge of maintaining them, so someone else could host the material.

I love the subgenre where they’re beefing/disagreeing with someone known to have actual experience & knowledge.

There was one I first saw several years ago where “The Incorrect Dude” told the other poster to read some particular books. The person he was “correcting” had authored those books.

I think that particular subgenre works best when "The Incorrect Dude" has some form of higher education in a completely unrelated field and thinks that makes him an expert on the field under discussion. No, your degree in English Literature doesn't trump my diploma and almost 40 years of industry knowledge.

Yes and no. That was its name, when passed (yes, this is the dumbest timeline). It was officially changed afterwards as an amendment, I believe, but that wasn't well publicized and there are people who choose to cling to the old name, as you might imagine.

It really is the dumbest timeline. I dont know how we get to 2029 at this point.
