I'm not in DC, but I work with research grade scientific equipment. One term that's been tossed around my industry is "extinction level event".

Science does seem to be a particular target this time around, yes. I worked recording audiobooks for the Library of Congress (National Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped) and the hit that took felt like ditching a program that helped people.

So many opportunities to think and re-think, “Well before I dislike a game that much, I stop playing it.” There are so many things I could be doing with my attention and money rather than shoveling them into a game I hate. In a work with this much great reading, great viewing, great listening…I don’t get it.

i love seeing like 100 hours in a game with a thumbs down on steam..it's like did you need that much time to figure out that you didn't like it?

Welp, if nothing else, I hope that a month from now (or whenever the heady rush of self-righteousness and self-declared victimhood dissipates) you go back and re-read what went down and see why no one else seems to think what you think happened is what happened.
