It might depend on the rest of the person, as well, of course. You probably shouldn't tolerate me blathering about IT stuff, but I at least hope I might have strengths in other areas.

At this stage everyone, other than my wife, is on a short leash. Just how it is.

I was at my barber’s today, and while I was waiting my turn AND for half of the time I was in the chair, there was a guy having a phone convo. He was trying to convince the person on the other end of the call that women were just as capable of leadership as men.

When he finally hung up, my barber and I both commended him on his patience with his interlocutor. It was clear that this was someone who mattered to him.

He said it was his oldest, closest friend, and that was the only reason he was able to keep his cool.
