Unrelated to the above. Man, there are some of y'all who make every thread y'all enter untenable. Maybe reading comprehension would help y'all, but I'm out.
Apologies, nothing is going to help me right now.

Hmmm…My players haven't figured out the BBE in our current game... it's Vectron! Instead of an Non-player character, he’s a non-character character.

My man, look at who is agreeing with every one of your posts and consider whether you want to be making the kind of argument that comes out of that guy's mouth.
Don't give them ideas.Hitler liked this.
I have a friend who, if he is a player in a TRPG, you basically cannot give him anything, because it will almost certainly turn into an exploit, or at least an unexpected efficiency. These days I don't TRPG with him, at least in part because I find that exhausting in a player, even if I'm not GMing.I've decided that since I once played RPGs with a really weaselly and unreasonable dude who did their best to exploit every rule and paid no attention to setting or genre, I am going to rewrite all my house rules to specifically address that kind of player and never give any player even an inch of generosity or goodwill.
I will then proceed to post about how naive everyone else is for not guarding against this behavior by punishing all players (who I assume will all turn into the aforementioned dude as soon as I make any exceptions). In fact, I don't even believe you are playing if you say your players aren't like that or at least potentially like that if not supervised like toddlers.
