Which Exception Wins
[fighter's reaping strke] which does damage even when he misses
OR
[minion] a missed attack never damages a minion.
Especially since [minions] maybe limited to 1 hp, but they can have as many 'temporary' hp as they can get?

H1 Questions (Player Question)
Now that I have the PHB in hand, I have some questions:
(1) Dwarven Fighter's Daily Power has a "Miss" clarifier which stated that it is 'not used.' In the PHB, there's no such condition. How did the dwarf get to reuse his daily when he misses with melee?

When healing may provoke AoO
I was thinking when you're trying to 'heal' a Dominated peer. Or, trying to 'inflict' a fellow Shadow Dancer's Shadow to keep it alive. Both are non-offensive activities, but requiring a melee touch attack with a held charge.

I have a Cleric/Rogue who may qualify for Spring Attack in the future. I've seen Spring Attack used quite well to 'hit and run' for other players.
QUESTION: Can I 'spring attack' a touch attack with a spell I cast in the prior round? (ie, inflict __ wounds?)
QUESTION: If so, can i "spring...
Sure Strike was supposed to give a weapon the ability to 'hit everything' (other than miss chance). In 3.0E, it did that by treating the weapon as +5. What to do in 3.5E? Any word from Wizard on these broken constructs?
Wizards only updated the Accessories, but not the Supplements.
Guess, it's...
Wrong Message Group: Should Be in DD Rules Board
Sorry! I posted to the wrong board. This thread should be in the D&D board.
Anyone knows how to move it?
chengarino:confused:
Does someone know whether the sage or faq addresses this question.
We all know what the feat Spring Attack provides. The question is whether Spring Attack allows for a Full Attack or just the Primary Attack within a character's movement.
We thought it only provides a 'Primary Attack' because a...
Re: Re: Evasion and Non-Traditional Breath Weapons
Nope. We're playing the adventure now and i'm not looking the monster up. :-) Frankly, my PC doesn't know quite what hit him.
Needless to say, when the PC does a successful ref save, there's still a level damage but it's not half.

A discussion in our gaming group. We know that Evasion allows a Monk/Rogue to avoid damage if he makes a reflex save against breath weapons whose ref save would half damage.
Does this same Evasion apply to breath weapons (whose successful reflex save):
(1) halves ability/level damage?
(2)...
PREMISE:
We all know how Monk's unarmed BAB (uBAB) works. It's added independently of the standard BAB. It assumes that the unarmed attack uses 'all body parts' to accomplish it's attack. Therefore, 'two-weapon' attack does not make sense when attacking unarmed.
When a Monk uses a monk weapon...
S&F with the A&EG treatment
And then there will be:
- Complete Wizard
- Complete Cleric
- Complete Rogue
- Complete Monk
- Complete Psion
- Complete ... etc ...
until all the splatbooks are incorporated ... with some new AE&G-type (Dragon reprints with revisions) information.
Of all the...
Re: Re: ymmv
Having played a few sessions with the "Spawing" interpretation, I don't think that the rules are unbalanced.
Even with turing resistance +2, CE shadows are a hazard when you encounter evil clerics. At 3HD, they are easily 'rebuked' into attacking your own party.

Better Way To Handle Revising Splatbooks
Now, if WoTC combines all the splatbooks (to include revisions) plus some new content (with new color art) into a new hardcover, then, i would be interested.
After the shoddy quality of the "Arm and Equipment Guide" (it's a thicker softcover book with...
