I was making an adventure just yesterday and was reading the troll entries, and saw the bit about regrowing body parts or "can reattach lost body parts immediately" and I was thinking in 3.x it is almost impossible for this to actually occur. Few and far in between they are, indeed. But they are there.

As long as they make good -looking figures, I am set for 3.5 I bought 5 or 6 boosters, and jsut got 30 or so singles on my rip back to America this summer. I am never going to have to buy another miniature again ( well maybe more singles in a couple years when I visit America again) I jsut hope...

Hey, every one has to get the set up done for "I told you so!!" Don't they? And based on a few posters, they are covering EVERY base ;)

That is a trend I have been trying to follow in my FTF games, smaller, focused dungeons. Tehy work better, and avoid the boredom of room after room after room. I must say the new paradigm of more monsters to fight is good also, and I hope they really keep advancing monsters through the years...

And I imagine the posts here are of much higher quality too. I took a quick look over there about a week ago, and then scurried for safety back here at Enworld. They were crazy over there.

If they do have AoOs in 4E they need to make some kind of ruling abut attacking paralyzed or helpless foes within reach. As it stands now, you get an AoO if your active opponent does something dumb, but the helpless guy next to him does not get one. AoOs should be allowed on them.

I would have to agree that system neutral is the best, at least to start. That way, you can afford to ait and see how the wind blows with 4E and decide where to go there, or start working on a 3.5 version till then.

T, too, am a little worried about converting old adventures, but I am sure that once I am familiar with the system( if indeed I buy and learn the system) I can do it. Maybe it will not be perfect, but I am sure if can be done.

But here you are making an assumption that the populace is capable of gathering together (most likely) and capable of defeating these myriad monsters(in the world described, they have apparently failed). Which leads directly into a discussions of leveled individuals, and how common they are...

Maybe going a bit off topic, but I see most automatic or eventual upgrading with OSs being the truly old and definitely inferior versions. But I do not think D&D has really turned out an obviously inferior edition yet. I do not like 1E or 2E, but that is not saying they are inferior, they jsut...
