I don't mean to de-rail this conversation, but can anyone tell me if there is a connection between the Starter Set adventure and Hoard of the Dragon Queen? Are the two adventures linked in anyway?

My only real experience with WotC prepainted minis was with their Star Wars line, which quality-wise much left to be desired. I want to like these and start picking up D&D minis, but their standard of quality has to have improved since them for me to do so.

Amen! As someone who also works with and deals with many a small business across the US, this is exactly right. The business owner is almost always the only guilty party when a business folds. Any other factor is generally a scapegoat or an excuse.

I agree with this. As much as I love those books, they oftentimes boasted some really terrible artwork. Anyway, I recently picked up Burok Torn: City Under Siege. Any opinions on this one before I delve into it?

That has been my problem with Gaming Paper as well... colors. Markers work best, but it tends to run my Sharpies dry really quick, and colored pencils (plain Crayolas) just don't work that well (the color barely shows up unless you really layer it on). If anyone has found any great methods for...
