I had a brain-fart. The module is designed for 6-8 characters of levels 3-5
So, if you're creating characters, go with 78 total stat val, and level 3-5.
Sheesh - just had my 40th b-day, and it's showing....

No worries here, loball! I was planning on creating my PC tomorrow. So, 4th level, 78 stat total, standard DMG wealth for 4th level. Will do! And thanks for DMing!

For those playing in my game (Whispering Woodwind):
Please note that I've changed the 30 point-buy to 28 point-buy. Please note that I've also added the fact that you have 900 gold pieces to spend (or hang onto, if you're greedy like that).

Me and Fred won't be showing up until 11am at Great Escape. Not to be anti-social, but 9am is too bloody early for me on a Saturday.
Would adding a 6th slot to the Whispering Woodwind break it? Me and Fred like to game together, see... If not, that's cool. Maybe someone won't show, and a slot will open up.
As for the evening games, put me in the old skool game, and slide Fred over there too. That'll open a slot in the Pazuzu game, and add two to the Lost Caverns game.
Also, a possiblity has opened up for some L5R ccg action too, if anyone is interested, say a game between the rpgs, but I really wanna try out Monster Island. I dunno, it's just a possibility. I also need a confirmation if anyoen is gonna bring their Heroclix. I just don't want to lug a ton of stuff around. Yeah, I'm lazy.
As for prizes, I have a huge collection of game books I'm selling/trading, and I'd gladly donate something, but most of it is older White Wolf stuff, along with a few other things... Event "leaders", let me know if this would be something of interest or what. If it comes down to it, I could bring a list and have the "winner" pick something off it and I'd mail it to them. Click on my sale link or look for my listing in Marketplace to see what I got. As a bonus, I'll autograph it!

Sure thing, mistergone. Although The Whispering Woodwind is made for four 2nd level characters, it supplies rules on how to "bump it up a notch."

I'll be bringing mine, and we can probably get a few people to buy a booster pack and play.

How would that work, exactly?
Do I ask Great Escape to front a gift certificate (for Great Escape's merchandise?) which will be paid by your FLGS, thru their relationship in the same GW 40K circuit, somehow?
How much of a gift certificate, if that's the case?
P.S. - Bloodymage, do you have some samples of Gamer's Bags you could bring in that we could see?
