Well to stop getting rants from dragongirl all the time about my "not dressed enough ladies" I'll now start a new thread about women. But this time with a twist, they will all have quite some amounts of clothing and/or be displayed in a not so widely seen manner. :)

We start with the armor clad Dark Elf Female Fighter, and yes please roll in the critisicm and comments mates.

First Post
First reaction: Lots of plate for a Dark Elf. Most of the time, dark elves favor stealth and speed, so that threw me for a moment.

Second: Her neck is pretty thick. That throws off the elven proportions. It's generally supposed to be thin and delicate *seeming*, though with good muscle tone. Drow seem to be more bulky sometimes, but...

Given a drow society dominated by females, I would just propose that most female warriors would probably make sure their gender comes through a little more, just to help intimidate the weak males.

Also, she's practically holding the crossguards of those weapons. There should actually be the sense of some space between her hands and the crossguards, its less tense and allows more flexibility of movement.

Also, without a background context the impression her feet give is that she's leaning backward, but the rest of the body seems straight.

Okay, positives time.

It is a solid humanoid form, and the armor and weapons are awesome. The deep-set, wrinkled eyes give an impression of angry, restrained menace; the cat-like slits just adding to the demonic violence.

The eyes are really cool.

thanks for the input, I tried some more femme-looking additions to the armor first (cups and more curved armor) but it just looked silly and in the end I decided to go with a more traditional look on the armor.

And the eyes were actually the first thing I did in this drawing glad that you like them :)

You armor work is great. My only nit would be that the pose does not look natural, and to hold a 30lb. sword like that she would have to have monstrous strength!!

Bery frightning to look at. I lke the second head much better than the first.

Keep up the great work!

Even if PHB says greatswords weight 30 lb (that's almost 15 kg!!!!), it is not true in real life. My guess is that they give that exagerated weight as a measure of encumbrance, real greatswords didn't weight 15 kg, nor even 10 kg...
