The halfling parries each of Finnian's strikes. "That all you got, bird-boy! How about you say something stupid? At least it will incapacitate me with laughter."

(Finnian: Save (1d20=4) v. Pathetic Appeal. Failed.)

Roger, the mage, pries open the lid of the strange jar. "Leperchaun! I chose you!"

There is a loud pop and a burst of fairy dust. Eight small, bug-winged fairies appear. Each wears a green derby with a shamrock in the hat band. All are swaddled in green bandages. In better days, they all had a full head of red hair, but now they only have tufts. Oozing sores cover their bodies. Some miss fingers, toes, noses, ears.

The stench of rotting flesh is unbelievable.

[sblock=Nature DC 10]Leperchauns are mean-spirited fey from Ire Island, the angriest place in the feywild.[sblock=Nature DC 15]Because of their horrible natures, the lords of the fey unleashed a rotting disease on the leperchauns. The creatures survived, but all now have severe leprousy.[sblock=Nature DC 20]The bite of a leperchaun causes minor illness in most creatures, unless they bite a fey. Then, the leperchauns lays its eggs in the fey creature. In a short while, several leperchauns grow to maturity in the intestines of the host, chewing their way out the anus. This horrible death is known as the leper-colonic.[/sblock][/sblock][/sblock]

"Ugh!" shouts Olivia, "I forgot how bad these things smelled!"

The half-elf flanks Finnian and stabs with her dagger. (Attack v. AC (1d20+8+2=19, 1d4+1d6+2=7).) The blade finds a new sheath in Finnian's shoulder. (7 damage)

The leperchauns vanish in a flash of green light, suddenly appearing around the party. While dancing a frenetic jig in mid-air, the horrible sprites bite.
(Attacks v. AC (1d20+5=17 (Erlai), 1d20+5=25 (Emral), 1d20+5=9 (Emral), 1d20+5=11 (Uncle Mikey), 1d20+5=16 (Vaunea), 1d20+5=19 (Vaunea), 1d20+5=9 (Drivan), 1d20+5=10 (Drivan)) Erlai, Emral, and Vaunea take hits: 2 damage, -1 to all attacks and defenses (save ends)) Three of our heroes are bitten. A wave of nausea overwhelms them!

"Aw, man! That little guy's finger just fell off! I'm gonna hurl!"

The stench of the leperchauns causes all living creatures within 1 square of them to suffer a -2 penalty to attack rolls.

Drivan shakes himself free of Olivia's spell, his eyes flashing with fury as he gathers magical energies to himself. "Emral, Vaunea, destroy the wizard!"

Drivan shouts to the mob, "We will not stand for this! We will destroy these usurpers! They're worse than even Hadari!"

Gathering magic into his palms he throws a bolt of energy at the Leperchaun to his right, moving towards the door as soon as the energy leaves his hand.

Fueled by his rage he summons up fire and throws the flames with reckless abandonment scorching the area around the fallen Goliath.

[sblock=ooc] I can't get in for Invisible Castle right now (500 error or something).

The actions I'd like to roll for:

1) Immediate Interrupt on the Halfling's Attack: Firepulse! It's my Genasi ability, and I get to explode some flames when he hits me. Encounter power, and I want to use it! Anyway, it should kick in before the leprechauns come out, so not the -2 to attack.

2) Nature Check on the Leprechauns, and Arcana check on that dagger!

3) My next action... either explode the halfling some more, or nail those leprechauns; in that order, depending on availability.

Ken: awesome, for the half-orc and the leprechauns. I'm picturing Zombie Wee Free Men, from Terry Pratchett.
As for Olivia: I don't know that Emral would attack her anyway, mostly because he's a gentleman regarding the ladies. He figures they have enough aggravation with sexism and societal prejudices that run rampant in any fantasy setting, that unless pressed he'll give them a break. That and he's enjoying being a rockstar.
[/sblock]

Emral grins as the half-orc explodes like a waterballon, then turns to meet the halfling's charge. He takes a good look at the dagger as it comes in, enough that the blow gets past his hastily-raised block. As it pierces his skin, he releases the elemental energy he'd been holding onto, a gout of flame rising up to blast the halfling.

[sblock=Reklaw]I think you meant that you put the scorching burst at I4, since those are the damages you gave us.

Also, does the scorching burst do max damage to the incapacitated goliath? Just wondering. I honestly don't know.[/sblock]

[sblock=That's right, it's...]LEPER-chaun (as in 'a person with leprousy'), not LEPRE-chaun (which is the proper spelling).[/sblock]
Emral's body bursts into flames as the psychotic halfling stabs him. (Firepulse: v. Reflex, Fire Damage (1d20+5=8, 1d6+3=7)) But the little maniac is too quick! "Hah!" he screeches, "You ain't bad! You ain't nothin', crackleface!" Then, he grabs his 'package', thrusts one fist in the air, and shouts, "Whoo!"

(Emral's Skill Checks: 1d20+5=21 (Arcane), 1d20+2=20 (Nature))

[sblock=Emral]Hmm...

You know, that dagger just might be a wyrmtooth dagger.[/sblock]

Drivan shouts to the mob, "They're worse than even Hadari!"
And I laughed out loud!

"Worse than Hadarai?!" cries one of the mob in shock.

"Is there anyone worse than Hadarai?"

"Yeah, numb****, those guys! Drivan said so!"

"I ***** HATE Hadarai!"

"Me, too!"

The leperchauns flanking Drivan attack as the wizard casts his spell. (Immediate Interrupt: Basic Attack - 15 v. AC, 12 v. AC; 2 damage and Drivan takes a cumulative -1 penalty to all attacks and defenses.)

The disease-ridden jaws of the rotting sprite burn Drivan's skin. He feels even more ill.

Gathering magic into his palms he throws a bolt of energy at the Leperchaun to his right, moving towards the door as soon as the energy leaves his hand.
The magic missile goes wide, punching a hole in the ceiling. The leperchaun spins, drops its trousers, and exposes its buttocks to Drivan.

Unfortunately, one of the buttcheeks chooses that moment to slough off the bone and splat on the floor.

"Urp!" Olivia slaps her hand over her mouth. "Ugh. I threw up in the back of my throat."

Fueled by his rage he summons up fire and throws the flames with reckless abandonment scorching the area around the fallen Goliath.
By the way, you rolled the wrong amount for your Scorching Burst attack. Should have been 1d20+5-2. I'm making the adjustments on the fly.

The party discovers that burning Goliath smells just like roast pork.

"Shemp!" bawls the halfling, "Shemp! Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeemmmmmmmppppp!"

Two of the leperchauns char, then explode in a shower of golden coins!

The mob applauds!

"Oh, Gods!" sobs the halfling, tears streaming down his cheeks, "Not 85 and 66! No, not them! I was going to name my children after them!"

(Drivan is still ill from the leperchaun bite. Save: 5.)

The mob surges through the door and grabs the halfling. As the hapless thief screams in dismay, members of the mob hurl him to the ground and begin kicking him mercilessly. (Standard Action: Savage Mob - 16 v. AC, 12 damage, halfling is prone.)

"Aaaaargh!" howls the halfling, "My spleen! My spleen! I think I needed that!"

"Take that, you ***** Hadarai wanna-be!" shouts a member of the mob.

Uncle Mikey stomps Finnian's toe and hurls a potion down the ranger's throat when he shouts in surprise. "Dude! You need to like dodge or something! The guys are like going to ***** kill you!"

Did you mark the leperchaun or wizard?

Vaunea's axe misses the leperchaun.

As she rushes by, the little creature sticks its fingers in its ears, protrudes its tongue, and blows a raspberry.

Unfortunately, it's tongue chooses that exact moment to detach and flop out of its mouth.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!" squeals the wizard in a terrified, girlish voice, cringing from the raging minotaur.

Vaunea's blade bites deep.

"Game over, man!" Roger, the mage, screams, "Game over! That's it, I'm getting Dave!"

"No!" shouts Olivia, "Not Dave! He's too powerful for this rabble! We can still win this! Save him for the match!"

"Earl?! What about Earl?!" The mage replies, yanking another jar from out of his robes.

[sblock=Kenhood]I added +3 to my attacks with scorching burst because of Action Surge feat which added +3 to attacks that are taken with an Action Point. So I guess that means because of the -1 from the Leperchauns I am attacking with a +7, right?[/sblock]
