Do you recall a nostalgic D&D picture/illustration?

Rav

Rav stole mine but it's so good I think I'll post it twice.

This picture is why I have always loved to play healers in D&D.

I forget if this was the 1e Fiend Folio or 1e Monster Manual 2, but there was this beefed up fighter or barbarian wielding a two handed sword on top of some steps.

He had just finished slicing a lizardman. Great action shot.

Just about anything by Jeff Dee is good, nostalgic stuff. Just about anything else from 1e makes me retch these days. Man, that art was crude! Most cave paintings are better.

The adventure party in the woods with the nymph by Darlene in the 1E DMG, all of the comics ("one false move, wizard, and the familiar gets it", "Dave, get the Barbarian in the corner another drink, fast") in the 1E DMG, and the picture of the githyanki in the fiend folio all are great.

But the one that I love the best is the wizard moving the sphere of anhilation towards the orcs in the 1E DMG.
