Mari utters a string of black sailor's oaths as the rabble move on Elurian and she takes a step back. Blowing on her palm her breath condenses in a fog as if the air were much colder. The cold wind builds and swirls around Kressle. The Spirit companion takes on an icy demeanor, swirls out of existence only to reappear on the opposite side of Kressle and slam into the lead bandit with startling cold leaving a rime of frost over her. Mari smiles wickedly at the success of the attack.

The dazed druid shifts backwards to be nearer Mari. Calling upon his reserves, his elbows jerk as if in surprise and primal forces call forth the fears of the attackers making their hearts quail. The druid has done his best but the forces of Nature seem to be against him as he is unable to penetrate the will power of his attackers or shake off his daze.

Mid-Round Update, Faustus & Ezmerelda to still go

Ruarc kicks one of the downed bandits as he looks around the battlefield, then closes rapidly with the archer to his east.

Faustus again attacks M2 with his at-will Radiant Vengeance, (which opponent is just at the edge of his range). This attack is vs. Reflex, still. Misses, still, too, dagnabbit! :(

Just a reminder for everyone that you'll get another AP after this fight (i.e. reach another milestone) and you can only spend 1/fight. There's no benefit to hold them either as they reset to 1 after an extended rest. Just saying...[/sblock]

Faustus again attacks the man, but fate seems to be protecting the bandit as the blast of divine light flies above his head.

Ezmerelda follows her foe down and attacks him.

Kressle tumbles quickly away from the spirit companion and moves quickly next to the goliath, her hatchets drawing a deep wound on Ruarc's hamstring, nearly felling the giant.

He tries in vain to cut her, hand axe lashing out at her face and battle axe at her guts, but both blows come up short. The big man's legs crumple as his failure hits home and he falls to the ground.

Mari once more sends a cold wind blowing toward the fray. Her spirit companion appears adjacent to the archer who just attacked his master. The cold bites into the archer's flesh. "Perhaps you'll think twice before attacking me again," she says with a chuckle. Despite her effectiveness she continues to reel from the previous attack.
