Miss Martian is pretty cool. Frankly, she'd make a great team member. Not that Wonder Girl wouldn't, but I recall someone wanted a shapeshifter? The idea of one array for all her powers is a good one: we don't need demigods for this campaign, just... future demigods.


I'm used to getting a group together than then has some drop-outs. It sucks, but that's life.

That said, if I have to cut down I'll keep whoever best fits the genre and style: Superheroes. Nothing too far from the DC JLA mainstream. If there is a weird part of the background, package the whole thing in Super. If this were another genre, I wouldn't mind too much in the way of alternate styles. It's not.

I'll give it a few days before I make a final pick. I won't use more than 6 for this game.

Feel free to submit more than one concept. If I don't like one, it's not you so much as the concept.

Yeah, I saw that someone else was going for a shapechanging, Martian Manhunter protege, so I decided to stick with my Wonder Girl concept to not step on people's toes - looks like he's on vacation. I'll keep Miss Martian on the wings, though, in case he drops out or decides on something else, but I'm pretty happy with what I came up with for Annie.

As the Miss Martian build concentrates on the other powers and only changes for disguise, I cannot see why she and my Durlan cannot co exist. Sorry, couldn't post the last few days. Will submit a build tomorrow.

Edit: M&M 3rd pdf is out, but still no DCH errata :(

Ripped through time and space, the Durlan 'teen' Dregg Draggl appeared on 21st century earth more than slightly confused. The trip also damaged his natural ability to learn new forms with his antenna scanners. Stranded at this time and space, he tries to follow the heroes of the old (who are living now), by becoming a superhero.

Another ATT refugee; Finally got my entry ready. Since Batman & Wonder Woman seem to have people to mentor, Supes could use one to round out the set.

So, I present Solaris, who I loosely based off of Kamen Rider OOO (RaToraTah form), while still keeping to my preference of having very high Dodge/Parry scores (which does leave Solaris as a Glass Cannon, but never mind).

Sadly I absolutely suck at Backgrounds (I would just give up and say Solaris is a mutant, but DC doesn't really do those), but hopefullly there's enough here to get the idea across.

Motivation (Doing Good): Second hand, often involving the question "What would Superman do?"

Power Loss: Solaris draws some of his powers from the Sun and those powers will fail if not recharged.

Relationships: While not a sexual preadator as such, Simon has a habit of taking whatever chances he can get.

Any reason you just didn't go with Attractive? Or Enhanced Attractive?

Seems like an awful lot of trouble mechanically just to bag chicks.:cool:

Both were considered. In the end I wanted it to be more of a luck-related power than a looks one. Subtle 2 is vital, either way.

Admittedly I'm not sure that second "Limited" is legal. I did consider "Limited to the other PC's", but I figured that might cause offense.

I'm going to tentatively "okay" all characters so far, on the condition that any changes I deem necessary later be taken. Going to... going to... ...zim-zala-bim, it is done!

If you don't post for a week, you are automatically dropped from the game.

If you are leaving the game, or simply have RL issues that need time (ie: vacation, bed bug evac, jury duty, etc.) please notify the thread.

If you only post one-sentence responses, I will give you a friendly nudge... and if you don't do at least a proper paragraph, I will drop you from the game. (exceptions in the case of initiative or certain responses, but not usually a good idea)

All RP shall be done in a sportspersonlike manner: any disagreements shall not be taken personally, and fighting between party members shall be noted as RP only (and better have a justification of some sort mentioned to me). Complaints about other players please send to me; ditto complaints about me. I'm open to criticism (I don't promise I'll agree, but I am interested in learning what other people perceive/believe/think). I am also interested in knowing about issues before they explode, or before someone just stops posting.

If you drop the game with no notice, I have to put you on my S-word list. It's easy to get off it, just ask. I only have one player who's ever gone on it, and it's because he keeps joining games and then dropping them with no notice; and then coming back for more; so he's there indefinitely (maybe a couple years, we'll see). No malice if you go on, and there is a limbo phase first (ie: one game dropped without notice = limbo; two games and no apologies or sense of remorse = s-word).
This may or may not be to scare off potential fickle gamers (not players, as they'd have to play to be players; but oh, the games ;) )

I'm starting the thread for the game. Post there ASAP to snag a spot. First 7 players are in.

SPECIAL HINT: make a big deal about being left behind, and then someone (anyone, esp Batgirl or someone smart) notice the flashing red light in the last sentence. It's the link to the main adventure for you guys; I've got other hooks in store, so if your PC wouldn't bother, I'll figure it out.


Everyone: just to drive this point home: you're all teenage heroes. Age 16 tops, please (I said 17 earlier, but I think 13-16 works best for the concept, the more I think about it).

Am I too late? I was planning on submitting a version of Plastic Man's son Ernie, but I wasn't sure if that would be too much shapeshifting. I was having trouble jamming him into 120p, anyway, so I was considering making him more like Reed Richards stretchiness and cut down on the shaping.
He's also embarassed by how Plas doesn't take things seriously and I thought it would be interesting to make him the "straight man" of the group.

Is there still time?
