Pathfinder 1E [INTEREST/RECRUIT] - Crowns of Ice

Pedagogic planning. I teach and do some nonsense research. :) Thry filled our agenda this time. That's why I'm running so much. After today it should be ok.

Oh you are a teacher? Jon is a college Professor! He teaches science but also does pedagogical research, that's what he did for his tenure anyway.

What a small world.

Guys, thanks for your patience! I'm out of the woods now (I guess) and I'll resume our posting schedule (48 hours tops).

If you guys want or need anything, please, let me know!

It's actually looking like we're ready to combine threads, if everyone else is down and ready for that? And welcome back, AB!

Ok!

I gave a little more space so we'd make the time between threads right. Now I believe we're fully ready to move on!

Also, a bit on how I've been building the prologue:

- Every time a roll might be needed, I've been using the stats and simply confronting them with opposing npc stats, or I've been rolling in secret. In other words, every reaction is already based on your sheets, stats and BGs.

- Also, as you've seen, I've tried to enrich the world around the characters, placing some potentially serious decisions to all of you right away. Every reaction you posted (for example, how a group would react to your words, how a servant would go about his business) I consider as a representation of the natural order of your relationships, absorbing it into the story just the way you guys put it. For example, Thorir and Eben stated that every man is faithful to them given the circumstances they created for the raids. That means the men will be faithful to their leaders, and you can rely on that. Astrid determined that the maidens are overzealous, so that will always be the case. The same goes of Alec. Despite the excesses of his subjects, they'll all know he is stern and stoic in his manners, since he was portrayed as such (and corresponding respect will be presented by everyone).

- Since you guys have been really involved, the xp for the prologue’s end will receive a bonus (Thorir and Eben’s cultural involvement and character representation, Astrid’s in-character commitment, Alec’s suave approach and narrative awareness). Thanks for that, you guys! It’s really been fun!

Jon and I have been out of town the past week and a half, which is why we haven't posted much. We are flying home tonight, so we'll be caught up and back to our regular posting within a couple of days.

I like how you've been posting, you've been very attentive in your details. :)

I love it. It's like a mental puzzle for me, trying to stay in character, with someone who is devout to one religion, but also having responsibilities to his subjects who aren't. It was quite challenging to think of a way that he would consider to be both in the best interests of his church, which he believes should be the forefront of all religions, but at the same time not antagonizing the pagans unnecessarily. The way it turned out, no one can doubt his religious devotion, but the Pagans are not antagonized. Definitely made for some interesting mental acrobatics!

For Valentine's Day.
