Am I the only one that finds it amusing that a thread that starts with "I'm taking my ball and going home and never coming back - you guys always ignore me" has reached 11 pages and over 100 comments?

The amusing part, to me, is that a good chunk of the conversation is ignoring OP anyway, despite the thread subject. Luckily, OP will never be back to complain about the thread getting derailed.

I'm still waiting for that glorious moment when I become Orcus on an On-Day.

I was once where you are now... still, haven't had that Orcus on an On-Day feeling.

OTOH, I am now Hydra. Not a Hydra. HYDRA

Seriously. It's worth remembering that even my 7K posts make me more a lurker than a major contributor, based on the amount of time I've been here. It takes a lot to get name recognition.

Mercule who?

:D

(Got Guardians of the Galaxy on the brain right now.)

It seems that, in this forum, if you make a post that people don't agree with you get a terse response and then ignored. I would have thought that with a role playing game people would be up for some debate, but it seems that people are so set on their own views they can't take any form of disagreement.

10 posts and judging us. Okay. Let's take a look at them.

#1 A post abut rogues in a rapier thread, posted several days after the last bit of traffic in the thread.

#2 & #3 was a rather cool whodunit in a locked room mystery thread that had few responses.

#4 was ignoring the point of the thread asking for a general estimate abtu times a caster would use magic missile over levels 1-10 and instead giving their particular outlier answer of zero.

#5 was both on topic and timely and got a response.

... (bored reading his post history) ...

#10 was this thread, which had a lot of comments.

So it seems the trick to being ignored is be neither timely nor on-topic.
