So I like playing with this site called CoolTest too make up my villain's font name with and which I also did with Tarantula. And just with some extra time at work right now I thought I would do some up for the rest of you BUT of course ignore if you want ;) These were just my first run through I am sure there are better ones for most of you (although I really like the Grimoire one except it might look a bit too evil :) hehe)

Cool site! Thanks :) I used the same basic look just with a different color scheme...

And in the process my PC's named changed from Mythic Fist to Mystic Fist...I can dig it! ;)

Take note that Weaken takes character points out of a trait, not ranks. So using Weaken 6 against an Ability can reduce that Ability by a maximum of 3 ranks (assuming the target misses his save by 6).

Uff, thanks for pointing that out. So many places to make errors! I'll revise my sheet again to take not of that!

Totally works for me... it might not be the same river it just had to have happened on the same night :D

Take note that Weaken takes character points out of a trait, not ranks. So using Weaken 6 against an Ability can reduce that Ability by a maximum of 3 ranks (assuming the target misses his save by 6).

Question: What about the cumulative effect of multiple Weaken uses against the same target? Or those incurred by Progressive? Are they bounded by the maximum reduction of 3 ranks (i.e. 6 points) of Ability score? Or does that 3 rank maximum only apply to each individual Weaken use?

Question. Guimoire has a Construct sidekick that's a book. I've become obsessed with translating some characters from some books I've planned to write into M&M, and I have an Arcane Gunslinger who uses runes to give his bullets, guns, and other things magical properties (like a bullet that dispels magic).

I thought about giving him the Summon power and have him able to summon a horse, only it's not just any horse, it's a magical one. According to the book, the minions summoned by this power can be anything up to the level of the caster, including the caster (in the case of the "create duplicate" example spell). The only thing they can't do is summon other minions.

So, if I had a horse that had super speed/teleportation powers, how would I reflect that he can ride it and benefit from it as well? Affects Other, Limited to the person Riding him? I was thinking it would be a Dimensional Traveler, so he could cross Dimensions with it. Would that be too much for a Minion? It doesn't look like it. I mean, the Minion can fall incapacitated easily (it just has to take any damage) and if it does, it disappears and can't come back until it recovers, so he'd lose access to all those powers if that happened. It wouldn't really be a combatant, just a means to get around.

Or should I have the Horse and its powers be a power in and of itself, limited to what the Power Points the Arcane Gunslinger has?

This is just a hypothetical. I'm still playing my Gravity Guy.

From the SRD: Multiple failed resistance checks against a Weaken effect are cumulative, up to a maximum of the Weaken rank, at which point the effect cannot weaken the trait further.

Teleport has the Increased Mass extra, which allows you to increase the default Rank 0 (50 lbs) mass you can carry with you by 1 rank per point. So to be able to carry a 200 lb (Rank 2 mass) passenger costs 2 points. Speed lets you carry whatever your strength allows.

There are a few powers that have a kind of 'wildcard' versatility...which is a fancy way of saying 'this power can imitate the effects of other powers.'

Summon is one of those. A pretty big one.

In THEORY, there's no reason you couldn't Summon a minion that hands you all kinds of powers using Affects Others or similar modifiers. In PRACTICE this is limited by the GM, and how the GM wants to handle the power.

Technically speaking, the GM gets to say what you can summon. Like, you can say "I can summon angels," but the GM decides what angels can do.

Most GMs I've played with will let a player design minions, because it's less of a pain that way...but when designing, keep in mind that the GM gets final approval. If your Superhorse has Impervious Toughness 20 with Affects Others and you wear it like a backpack? That might be considered a problem. :)

The stuff you're talking about, like a magical steed that can carry you to other dimensions...that sort of thing is usually much easier to get away with...especially if it doesn't step on the toes of an existing PC.
