D&D 5E EB's One Shot - Irongrad (IC)

These creatures are tough and Rilla decides desecration is the better part of valor. Her fleeing distracts the closest creature to her and allows Ssz'irac and Al to finish it off. Its body falls smoldering the fire that Zuleyka's firebolt had almost started.

Ssz'irac is rewarded for his efforts by a gash to his arm that stings like a paper cut for a moment. And Al manages to avoid a biting axebeak as it finally gets to its feet.


Bilkar is unlucky as a beak axes him in the midsection and is stopped by his armor or the wound would have been more life threatening. Now with only three of the beast left and two of those wounded maybe our heroes have a chance. Let us find out.

Zuleyka moved in to help Ssz’irac. She spoke a mystical word and her rapier erupted into green fire. She stabbed at the strange feathered creature. As her blade hit, the fire scalding feathers, it also leapt to the creature next to the one she had hit, singing it.

Bilkar Gnome Druid

Grrr, Bilkar not food, not food, not food!" Bilkar groans and covers the cut with one hand as he runs from the nasty bird creature. Yelling and repeating himself about not being food.

Ssz’irac keeps his focus on the axebeak that hurt him, moving his rapier quickly.

The green fire is enough to scare off the most wounded of the creatures and Al gives a sigh of relief as the remnants of the spell kill the axe beak trying to eat him, but that calm is short lived as Bilkar comes charging by a bird hot on his tail.


The dwarf swings his axe winging the creature but not stopping it as it bares down on the gnome it truly wants for lunch. Luckily the bite of the axe and the presence of the drow distract the bird and it comes up short.

As the bird creature ran off, Zuleyka slid around Bilkar, coming up on the last remaining creature as it snapped at the gnome. Her rapier thrust out, sliding smoothly into the beast’s breast, ending its threat as it staggered and fell.

Bilkar Gnome Druid

Bilkar quickly hugs the dark elves leg then quickly lets go. "Bilkar thanks the dark skinned elf."

Looking at the dead bird pulls out a dagger and takes a step towards the dead bird "Bilkar isn't food, bird is food." Bilkar stops and cocks his head then looks around. Apparently not finding what he was looking for he holds up his other hand a ball of flame appearing in his palm. Using this ball of fire to burn away the feathers Bilkar starts cutting into the bird before noticing less than approving looks from the others and stopping.

Bilkar scrunches up his face in confusion "Not hungry? Pack waste good meat?"
