There can be only 1 answer. Sir McStabsalot, dual rapier wielding gnomish paladin, Order of the Owl.

Human Barbarian 1 / Bard (College of Valor) X . . . I love the image of a Northman Skald who's primary motivation is witness heroic deeds of valor as inspiration to craft a great saga. Shouting down his foes as he cleaves their flesh and banging his shield to inspire his allies.

Dwarf Fighter / Bard (College of Valor) . . . Inspired by the Dwarf Slayers of WarHammer, his purpose is to fund a "good death" at the hands of a great foe. He keeps failing to die, by killing whatever beast fails to live up to his expectation as an overwhelming enemy.

Half-Elf Paladin Oath of the Ancients. I have always loved the idea of a "green knight" of fey ancestry protecting the noble beasts of the wild.

If the setting only features one race, then I want it to be human. I like humans. I also like magic-incarnate elves, but would go with humans if forced to choose.

If there is only one class, then I am torn between wizard and bard. I only play because of magic. I really like the 5e wizard and the 5e bard, and would be happy with either.

I guess, this means a Harry Potter setting.

"Human" Paladin (Oath of the Ancients)/Warlock (Great Old One) ... whose patron for both classes is a Far Realms deity of love, beauty, and body modification. Appearance grows increasingly alien as he gains levels.

It would be one of three races, Human, Drow, or Goliath. Most likely Human for me.

Class, hmmm... probably Bard or Ranger. Most likely Ranger with access to Thieves' Tools through a background.

Hiya!

Easy. 1e AD&D Human Paladin. My favourite class (and favourite alignment), favourite race, and favourite version. :) (...although Human Paladin in Hackmaster 4th Edition was a bit of contender).

If we are strictly talking 5e... it's a tie between Halfling Fighter and Human Wizard.

Bright gods, how could I have forgotten my absolute favorite concept?

Xixchil Rogue (Assassin) | Wizard with some (non-divine) subclass that allows them to pick up healing magic.
