His expression is that of an all-powerful lich being asked for the millionth time "so if I chop your head off, chop mine off, and then put your head on my neck, what cool powers do I get?"

Siderant: Why does "Archlich" sometimes mean "Lich, but not evil" and other times mean "Super-duper powerful lich"? The latter makes a lot more sense than the former (D&D's Archfiends, Archfey, Archangels are all super powerful versions of the usual member of that creature type), but the fact that there's two different meanings to one type of monster annoys me to no end.
You forgot Archmage on that list!

And Archdruid, Archpriest, Archdevils, and probably a lot of other examples. I was just giving a few to make my point, not making a complete list of all uses of "Arch" meaning "Super-duper powerful version of normal creature" in D&D.

(It is kind of funny that it's not applied to everything, though. There's no "Archbards" or "Archmonks" in D&D.)
