Cool idea!

I might go with "1 + half" to a specific weapon AND "1 + half" to all adventuring gear myself.

I do love the Delver class, so obviously I need to reskin a version for Shadows of Empire.

Same here. But....I don't want it limited to my (and your) table! I want everybody to be able to enjoy this! (Until they die and have to roll up new characters, of course.)

The published version of the class above will have it, that's the best I can do.

I'm still really intrigued with this idea of applying Trusty Gear to a non-weapon item (type). But what kind?
Rope?
Torches?

Flint and steel for relighting torches in the dark? Rope does seem like an obvious choice. The crowbar too, perhaps as it can double as a weapon.
