I keep reading and hearing that we are in a golden age of TTRPGs where people can choose from multiple different genres and systems, including D&D and if that’s not to their taste, a number of D&D lookalikes that all have their own variations.
But no, we need to discuss the next version of D&D. Again.

We have parallel conversations about real pizza and metaphorical pizza going on right now. Someone’s going to rip out a page of the DMG and put it on top of an actual pizza, if we’re not careful. “I think you’ll find the heavier stock used in Daggerheart has a vastly superior mouthfeel”.I've gotten so used to the pizza being a metaphor I get genuinely confused when people start talking about actual pizzas on this site.
