    D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Darkness Spell 20% ?

Does it create a shadowy zone in complete darkness? I hadn't tought of that one... and maybe WOTC neither. The other uses of the 3.0 version were neat, though. So can we say darkness got nerfed?

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Halfling with Reach, you like it?

I don't either! I just want to read it in my PHB : Small versions of reach weapons don't grant an additional 5' reach, unless wielded by Tiny creatures. I know maybe in an errata... For Tiny creatures to have reach (5' instead of 2½') is ok IMO, but for a 3' tall gnome to hit a creature about...

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Halfling with Reach, you like it?

BG: I'm at work too, and I do javascript, so here's your help : function autoTab(champSuivant) { if (event.rc && AFMergeChange(event).length == event.target.charLimit) this.getField(champSuivant).setFocus(); } Ok for the small long reach, but dwarves tumbling in heavy...

Oh, I see, and Halfling monks got some slinkies for legs ? LOL :p

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Halfling with Reach, you like it?

My group just can't imagine a small character with a reach weapon. The small longspear, IMO, sounds odd. Small PCs just barely get 5' reach (logicaly), so how long is a small longspear? It needs to be longer than 5', or else a medium 2-handed sword should get reach. And as far as I know, you...

    [3.5] Aasimar and Daylight ?

I tend to disagree, as I compared Daylight and Darkness... Darkness just got nerfed in 3.5, while Daylight looks the same. I also don't like the Cha is less important rule. I just don't get it.

    D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Darkness Spell 20% ?

You are! But I don't understand why this spell has been nerfed. I haven't looked at silence, but I hope it's not -10 to listen check. Darkness was used by one player whenever she could. The other players didn't like it, but she played a drow monk (with blindfighting) and it was great. The...

    D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Darkness Spell 20% ?

I agree that see in darkness is not so good now. Why was the spell changed in the first place? I don't get it Anyway, I'll house rule and use the 3.0 one.

    [3.5] Aasimar and Daylight ?

When comparing 3.5 Tiefling and Aasimar, I got stuck on the dayly daylight spell of Aasimar. Is it normal? I mean, they get better stats than Tiefling, and now they get a better spell-like ability. In Races of Faerun there were feats that converted the light to 3 daylight/day (IIRC), but now...

    D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Darkness Spell 20% ?

Ok, I don't know if that one came up already, but I just saw the difference between 3.0 and 3.5 for the Darkness Spell. If I understand this, you can see through the darkness ? It seems ridiculous to me, cuz darkness is complete darkness, and silence is complete silence... unless they nerfed...

Favored enemies, Sneak Attacks and DM's

As a part-time DM, I have sometimes been accused of tailoring my encounters too much against (as the plant killer guy story) or even FOR the players (cleric VS undead, that kind of thing). In fact, I do these things knowingly, but now I'm better at hiding this fact in my stories, so the...

    Creativity of gamers vs. non-gamers

While I haven't played with more than 20 people maybe, I have had my share of many types of gamers. What I have seen, however, is that those who were not creative (or who thought that putting effort into being creative was a waste of time) left the gaming group after some years. While my...

Wow! I can't believe this! Thanks to all the reviewers!

I know, I know... I'm not a writer so I don't have to deal with these problems, I just deal with my pack mates. I guess the best way to get around it is like the cold water example, its quite graphic (in my mind) but an 8 yo won't get it. As for the swearing/cursing issue, I'd go with a...

Is 3e a GM Nightmare? Rules and beyond!

I disagree about the social side of D&D being sad. This game helped me getting rid of most of my shy personality. But sitting around eating snacks has got me some winter insulation I don't like :D

Is 3e a GM Nightmare? Rules and beyond!

I have, the Silhouette system by DP9. I don't know about the new Core Rules, but this system is one of the greatest. White Wolf's one is good IMO because it is not combat-oriented. Here I'm saying that these 2 are easier to GM than 3e. But 3e is good, and I won't go back to 2e unless forced...

Is 3e a GM Nightmare? Rules and beyond!

Belem, I agree that 3E is harder to keep up with for a DM than 2e. I like 3e, far more than 2e, but there are things that can get me a headache that didn't in 2e, like, say, creating a Great Wyrm (completely). They get so many skill points that if you want it to look real you have to take much...

Wow! I can't believe this! Thanks to all the reviewers!

Ed, I think that PG-13 succubi are not succubi. I had that problem with a homophobe player and an inccubus who just captured his character (a proud knight). While I'm not gay, I don't have issues with them or what they do, and I wanted this scene to affect the char on the long term. The guy...

    Pronunciation of Drow

In BG I heard the same drow/crow sound. I wonder, how is Bhaal supposed to be pronounced?
