Wow! I can't believe this! Thanks to all the reviewers!

rising out of the water, she uses her left hand to feebly cover enough of her modesty that you can't tell if the water is cold or not. She could have used both arms but she trails her right hand along the water skimming it's surface, she doesn't even blush as she makes her way to the shore heading right for you.

LOL, this is great stuff! I love the cold water line. :) I may have to use something like it in the text. With your permission, of course!

So, it's not worth getting to see how the author handled the encounter? Is the adventure itself any good?

I personally love it. It's broken into 3 parts so that you could use all three linearly or each separate. I liked it so much I converted the whole thing over to 3.0 and plan on running my group through it later. The "ladies" are used in an "enemy of my enemy" capacity. So if your group doesn't contain a paladin then you could have some fun with this particular encounter, which is pretty far along time wise in the story.

Ed, I think that PG-13 succubi are not succubi. I had that problem with a homophobe player and an inccubus who just captured his character (a proud knight). While I'm not gay, I don't have issues with them or what they do, and I wanted this scene to affect the char on the long term. The guy went nuts and fumed about my pervert story.

I guess you have to adjust your game, module or not, to your players. I don't think the publisher has to make his module so that even Eric's grandma would approve. In the V:TM Sabbat rulebook, they address this "mature" issue, on how a group of (CE) vampires capture an helpless lady and have fun with her. There are different examples on how to describe this scene, based on how "graphic" you want to be.

As a customer, I will be turned off by products clearly intended for all ages (read kids), such as a pokemon rpg (they fry themselves but aren't harmed), especially when you get into demons and evil creatures. There is a middle ground that can achieve both goals. The Simpsons is for all ages, but a 8 yo won't get all the jokes! :D

You're right in that it would be rather weak to have encounters with demons and seductresses and such without detailing some of the mature content. As Buttercup implied, you have to make the characters loathsome rather than just saying they are. The problem is there are people who don't appreciate this kind of content like your friend who got upset. I don't want to turn anyone off.

Of course!:D

I like to give my group just enough detail that they can draw their own conclusions, and it gives them a much better visual than "naked lady in the water"

Okay, I'll check it out if I can get my hands on it. Is it 2nd edition? Explain this "enemy of my enemy" scenario and how it relates to all of this.

The party is trying to take out an underdark complex ruled by an abeleth, who is in cahoots with a major demon. The leader of the "ladies" has fallen out of favor with her lord, and is tasked with retrieving this major demon and having it brought back to the abyss. In the adventure you could have one of the ladies even join your party permently (I forget which one but her alignment was CN which is the excuse the adventure uses as her staying with the party) if they show her respect, kindness, and strength. The way the succubus was written was to stand there an look pretty

I don't intend on going into too much detail, but the descriptive text on how she "places a hand across her breasts in a feint attempt at modesty" is a bit risque, don't you think?
How about "she tries to cover herself with her hands, in a feint attempt at modesty"?

I know, I know... I'm not a writer so I don't have to deal with these problems, I just deal with my pack mates.

I guess the best way to get around it is like the cold water example, its quite graphic (in my mind) but an 8 yo won't get it.

As for the swearing/cursing issue, I'd go with a creative way of swearing, by using new words. Something like "That son of a cibht stole my pouch" is wrong, but "that cow-butt faced slug just stole my pouch" is less likely to get Eric's grandma some ulcers.

Good luck with your halfling!

So, they don't engage in lesbianism or eat children?
