I don't know, I think a stronger narrative for rangers is "survivalist", independent of any specific terrain. I think they're the only class who's abilities are location dependant. They shouldn't be.

I don't really understand why it should be terrain dependant at all. Especially if you can just swap it out anyway. As I'm playing a UA Revised Ranger at the moment I wish they'd incorporate more of those changes.

I would argue in an egalitarian culture, where women can hold titles in the same manner as the men, there would be no reason for gendered titles to develop. An earl is an earl no matter if it's a man or woman.

You aren't really buying a product on kickstarter. You are contributing funding for them to create something. You aren't guaranteed they will succeed. You need to decide for yourself if they're trustworthy enough to follow through on their promises. Sasquatch had a good track record before this...
