What Do Treants, Gelatinous Cubes, Mimics, and Displacer Beasts Have In Common?

An Invisible Displacer Beast seems excessive. Though it would be a nice surprise against those PCs who have See Invisibility, but not Truesight...

[EN5ider #69] The Holdenshire Chronicles (Act 2): Journey to Skull Mountain

Both this version, and the Pathfinder original, make reference to "Orc Band", "Goblin Band", and "Demon Band" random encounters (e.g., "Help the town guard root some goblins from the sewers (use the Goblin Band random encounter)". Unfortunately, no such encounters are listed. A bigger...

    Missing orc band random encounter

Likewise, both in the original and in the 5E version, in the "Trade for It" sub-section of "Goal: Retrieve Vyswava’s Mace", it says that "The party must face three different Demon Band encounters," but there's no such encounter listed.

    D&D 5E "The" Lich?

But players were more likely to encounter (and much more likely to survive) his body-double, as depicted on the cover: http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tombofhorrors.jpg

    D&D 5E "The" Lich?

Xykon. Or, if he's not eligible due to not actually being in a D&D product: The fake "Acerak" from the fake tomb in Tomb of Horrors. It's probably the "lich" that the greatest number of players has fought, and almost certainly the one that the greatest number of players has defeated. It's...

CURSE OF STRAHD Is Now On FANTASY GROUNDS

It feels rather clunky on Windows, to be honest.

Coming Murders & Acquisitions Coming Soon!

Psst! You'll probably get better response if you give readers some vague idea what your game actually is. I did click through to your website to find out today, but I didn't bother to do so yesterday; and I only did so today so I could snark at you here from a more informed position. ;-)

D&D 5E Please understand your spells

Have you READ the PHB index? (The one that's actually in the book, not the various alternate ones people have come up with). At least 10% of the fun my players had at our 3rd 5th-Edition session was marveling at how long it took to actually find anything useful in the PHB index. Regarding...

D&D 5E Where are the options?

How is it that we're 13 pages into this thread, and I'm the first person to mention En5ider?

D&D 5E DMSGuild New Adventure. After Lost Mine I: Orcs to Phandalin Followup to Starter Set Adventure

Preview has some typos: "The chief thinks he had a nightmare, but he actually saw the unberhulk, whose gaze drove him made."

[EN5ider #62] The Holdenshire Chronicles (Act 1): The Ills of Hengistbury

More relevant to Act 2, but: On the original toslayadragon.com/resources site, the link for the Photoshop version of the "Regional Map" actually contains the Holdenshire County map. There doesn't seem to be a Photoshop link for the actual "Regional Map".

D&D 5E Dragons! Volume 1 - Chromatic Dragons now available

5th Edition only has 4 draconic age categories. This product appears to add 6 more, matching the "missing" 3/3.5/PF ones (when combined with those already in 5E).

D&D Movie Takes Cues From GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

Lucifer himself is fighting crime on Fox. I don't think a Tiefling will dissuade anyone who would otherwise see the movie. Sure, some people will complain, but they aren't the target audie4nce.

BUBBLEGUMSHOE - Not So Hard Boiled Teen Detectives From Evil Hat

Still typo: "It's coming in June from game designers Care Boss, Kenneth Hite, and Lisa Steele". Should be: "It's coming in June from game designers Emily Care Boss, Kenneth Hite, and Lisa Steele".

[EN5ider #62] The Holdenshire Chronicles (Act 1): The Ills of Hengistbury

Since you're here: Morrus, what's up with all the intelligent races (including satyrs) on the tavern menu, anyway? Should we be rooting for Jack's righteous revenge for his kin?

[EN5ider #62] The Holdenshire Chronicles (Act 1): The Ills of Hengistbury

I'm glad to be of service. You're not the only one who was surprised to find that baseline "giant spiders" doubled their size and HP in 5E . (While staying CR1, because CR1 in 5E is 3-4 times as nasty as CR1 in 3.5/PF.)

[EN5ider #62] The Holdenshire Chronicles (Act 1): The Ills of Hengistbury

Warning! As someone who's 2 sessions in to his home 5E adaptation of parts of TSaD, and who's been greatly looking forward to this "official" version, it looks to me like the EN5ider translation is often too literal; by which I mean that if the Pathfinder version had, say, 6 Giant Spiders in an...
