    Official Conversion Booklet

It looks like it is still available on the WotC site here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20030718a Wait, that's the 3 -> 3.5 book. I thought the other was still up there, I'm not sure anymore. Sorry!

Forked Thread: Started playing D&D without being introduced by someone else?

My brother came home with the books one day and gave them to me saying he wanted to learn how to play. He was in middle school, I was in high school, he just didn't feel like reading the books. So I learned character creation and attempted to take him through a module. Things got better after a...

D&D: High Fantasy vs. Sword & Sorcery

This is exactly where I tend to fall. Voted S&S since I spend the most time at the lower levels.

    Non-Core Class Survivor Spin-off: Pro-psionics or anti-psionics

I find psionics pretty interesting. But I don't advocate for them, so I picked, "Keep me out of this!" It is kind of funny to watch the two group go at it though.

Non-Core Class Survivor: Round 10 - The Top Ten (predict the final 3)

It starting to get to the point where it's getting hard to vote as I don't have a lot of the supplements. But my guess will be Archivist, Beguiler and Scout.

Tips on Streamlining for a Very Large Party?

Do you have anyone that might be interested in DMing down the road? Maybe they'd be interested in learning by helping you as a DM's helper. If nothing else, after 7-9 levels, they should have the basics down well enough to help. For those intimated by the rules, make them learn them slowly...

Oh No! Sharpie on the Battlemap!

I second the rubbing alchohol suggestion. We used that quite successfully on sharpie marker. However - it does rub out the lines. You may need to take an ultrafine line sharpie and put the lines back in. After that, hide the sharpies! I won't let them at my table anymore.

    Monster Manual IV, from Amazon.com

I'ven't had too much opportunity to peruse the book, but the format did throw me for a loop. The stat block was fine, but the rest seemed pretty expansive. The monsters I had a chance to look at all seemed to take more than one page, and I kind of lost track where I was, as I'm used to the...

    Adventure Maps

I prefer color maps. I normally print in b&w, but like to have the choice.

Do you own a set of "crystal" dice?

Gee, you could be me :D . It just doesn't roll like a natural die to me.

    Dealing with Player Cheating

In one of the games I played in, the person to the left of whoever rolled the die reported the score. In games where I DM, the groups have been small around and dining room table and I was a fairly new DM, so they would roll their dice towards me and when I processed the roll I would give it...
