    I want 1) Scarred Lands 2) Greyhawk 3) Dark Sun That's it.

WotC changes how D&D mini's are going to be sold.

Well, this is the nail in the coffin for me, not that I was all that far away anyways. The paint job quality has steadily retarded the last two years (Oh joy - new promises of increased QC? Been there, done that.), the recent selection has been questionable, the prices keep going up as the...

WOTC: Making a statement is not making a promise

If Company X makes a statement as to an accessory that is going to be available for a product (an accessory that ostensibly makes the product better and more usable), and you purchase the product based off the expectation of the availability of that accessory, and then the company delays...

WOTC: Making a statement is not making a promise

You know, I wish I had customers as lenient as some folks here purport to be. If I told them I was planning on delivering finished code/functionality on a certain date (<- notice, didn't use the word "promise"), and then I failed to do so, I wouldn't get paid, plain and simple. It'd be great to...

If you could only own three or four Dungeon Tiles sets...

I have all of the sets, and my favorite is easily Dire Tombs. If I had to pick four, two of them would be Dire Tombs, without question.

    Spooky recorder/flute/ocarina/shakuhachi solo music?

You might check the Firefly soundtrack.

    Literary (and other) settings wishlist

I think Steven Brust's Vlad Taltos novels would make for a great game world. Earthsea would make for an interesting setting, done well (but seems like it would be easy to do it poorly). I'd love to see the Horseclans RPG as well (besides the GURPs supplement), although I think D&D probably isn't...

The fate of the Advanced Player's Guide

I'm not a big 4th edition guy (heck, I'm not even a little 4e guy), but that is some cool news. Sounds like a definite win-win situation. Congrats to you both.

The fate of the Advanced Player's Guide

It is indeed nice to see some good news. And that is pretty darn classy of Clark, all things considered. Congrats, Ari. I know its not the books, but I hope that takes some of the sting out of it.

We need a unified optional game system or this hobby's gonna die

I think thats a great idea (and for my money it would be Savage Worlds, which is already a kick-ass system), but there is one serious, serious problem: no matter how good the system, it wouldn't be named Dungeons & Dragons. And yes, I think its that simple. Like it or not, D&D is THE product...

What room do you game in?

You know, when we bought our new house, we specifically got it with a big game room upstairs, with big wide windows and an open feeling and everything. Almost two years later, we still use the Dining Room, for any number of reasons: Its downstairs Its the biggest table in the house (with...

re: No 4E for Necromancer Games!

Except that seems to describe Clark and Necro exactly, and even he is not going to release anything under the GSL as it is.

re: No 4E for Necromancer Games!

According to Joe, from a podcast, he's releasing modules at Gencon by using the OGL (really, but only because the GSL won't let him release product that early) - and then after he can release product under the GSL, he will.

Necromancer Games NOT going with current GSL.

I don't mean to be obtuse at all, but I completely and totally fail to see how those are more restrictive than the GSL. More restrictive than the OGL, perhaps a bit yes, but the GSL? Not a chance.

How Would You Make a D&D Movie?

You know, Morningstar, Waylander or even Legend would all make great D&D movies with the right script treatment and a decent cast.

16 years, 400+ sessions, and the campaign is done!

Thats awesome, and I'm jealous. :) We completed a 2 year (or so) Savage Worlds campaign in the same manner - a few of the PCs sacrificed themselves to save the rest of the group - oh, and the world! It wasn't a 16 year game (wow - just mind boggling), but it was still Most Satisfying.

Necromancer Games NOT going with current GSL.

I'm curious as to the companies you allude to. What companies have done this?

One source for Greyhawk - which one?

Count me as an 83 boxed set vote. Some of the later sources are good, but nothing is quite as satisfying as the original (IMO, of course). Of course, I'd definitely mine any other GH stuff you have as DM source material for adventures and ideas. :)

Necromancer Games NOT going with current GSL.

And petty self-righteousness is certainly going to help your cause there.
