D&D 5E 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

I am of the opinion these arguments about 1x1 fights are pretty much useless. None of these unnamed sorcerers could realistically take over the world. In fact, I doubt any of them could take over the Sword Coast. It has been stated over and over, that to take over the world, they would need to actually do something. So okay, they fought and won a few battles with some other 20th level characters, so what now? How exactly do you plan to take over the world? When you start your assault on Candlekeep, no wait, lets start small, how about Phandelver, what is your strategy? Lets assume you take Phandelver, now you need an occupying army to hold it, what are you going to do, just burn it to the ground? Now the next town you attack is going to be protected by an entrenched Mercenary Company, okay you win, you burn another city to the ground. Well, you are no longer unknown and unnamed, you are the Butcher of Phandelver now. What is your plan to stay hidden, once you start getting everyone's attention? How do you plan to deal with the likes of Elminster, Drizzt Do'Urden or even The Ladies of Candlekeep Book Club?

We are 700+ posts into this thread, please for the love of god, tell us how any of these builds actually plan to take over the world.

One on one, of course. He plans for everyone to take turns challenging him, and give him several days of rest in between fights. Oh, and he's allowed to bring anything he summons or Simulacrums but they can't.

Background:

Born of pure CHAOS (Wild Magic) and with his uncontrollable spells, he killed his parents when he was just a child. A serious accident that would change his life forever.
Abandoned as a dangerous and lonely child, he lived his life in the deepest darkness, acquired stealth expertise and the darkness took his life.
The shadow mark took over his body forever.
Determined to control his magic. He trained for years, defeating several powerful enemies. His magic is so powerful and intense that he has learned to enter another creature's mind, communicate with it and taste his emotions accurately(Telepathic feat) and with subtle Detect Through for still more reability.
Finally, he managed to control his unpredictable and relentless power (Tasha's Subclass retraining) for the Clockwork subclass. With hatred for the chaos of the world, he intends to reign over the world and control everyone with a precise clock.
He hates Wizards, after all they are not pure blood, they are usurpers of arcane magic. Therefore, all schools of magic must be destroyed. Forever.

Incredibly powerful and with trance of order, Subtle Empowerment Skill, Magical Guidance, Simulacrum (Help advantage). He can manipulate any creature and do just about any function he wants, with no chance of failure.
With Telephatic feat, he can manipulate creatures without revealing his plans to other creatures, extremely effective in destroying enemies in Social Encounters. He is a spell battery with Sorcerous Restoration, converting SP into Spells Slots.

With great benevolent abilities: Clockwork Cavalcade, Greater Restoration and other skills, it can easily please large numbers of people, with much healing, restoring buildings that were destroyed in wars or geological accidents.
The Bastion of Law has its powerful fortress with the creatures that it manipulated and it has its Demiplane to keep its Clone spells and other relics. His Fortness are virtually invincible with Clockwork Cavalcade:
"Any damaged objects entirely in the cube are repaired."

His plan to conquer the world is to destroy the schools of magic. Killing the most powerful wizards and forcing the creatures to see them as evil from all over the world.
After destroying the schools of magic, the world will be ruled by the fist of order.

With his Stealth Casting abilities, he is virtually invincible in combat and can easily eliminate any resistance. Without anyone even knowing who the killer was.

I am not going to search through all the posts for the ever changing armies of these kings of nothing, but come to think about it, without a way to arm most of the army with magical weapons (I suppose some of their forceful friends would come with them), and having to spend most of not all their high level spell slots to cower in a corner, shouldn't Rakshasas make short work of the sorcerers? Barely any slots, if any at all, to use against them. Their minions can't hurt them. They can planeshift, disguise themselves, employ illusions, become invisible and dominate humanoids. And even if the fiend were to be defeated, it would simply respawn back. They have infinite time to torment the sad little demigawd at their leisure. They will eventually get it, if there even need to be more than one Rakshasa. The world is more than just humanoids.

So he is a serial killer and after a few bodies turn up, he would not be unknown or unnamed anymore, he would be known as the Arcanist Quarter Killer and it would be in all the newspapers.
