Well, it's that time of week again... Time to discuss the latest episode of 24.

IMO, this is the best episode in the last several weeks; I did not expect Jack to execute Nina at the end of the episode. When it happened, I actually shouted "Go Jack!" out loud.

Well, it looks like the theory that Kim would be the one to kill Nina was proven wrong.

You know, it's actually a shame to see Nina go. She had the dual advantage of being both very BAD and very HOT. A killer combo that they won't be able to duplicate. But you know, it had to happen eventually. It stretched credibility that Jack could have killed her several times and never did.

Actually, while I loved the episode despite it being mostly internal to CTU, I was rather disappointed Jack killed her like that. Kim killing her would have been interesting... Jack killing her was just expected. At least she didn't get away though.

Chloe is by far and away my favorite character now. "Well Chase, I think she's pissed."

And Kim... she asks Adam if she can do something to help, is given a task on a longshot that could be pertinent to saving millions of lives, and she decides to chase after Nina anyway.

Am I the only one that got the impression that Nina wanted Kim to kill her? Man, Jack played right into her hands to the very end. Nina, I salute you!

You know, I wonder about Nina's final exchange with Kim (and with Jack). I wonder if Nina had just a smidgen of conscience about murdering Kim. "Just turn around and leave." What could have motivated that.

I do think that Nina had given up all hope when she was down on the floor though. The attempt to reach for the gun was her telling Jack, "just shoot me."

I must say I did a little dance at the death of Nina. Otherwise the episode was ok.

OK, so here's an interesting complication. We found out that Nina was having unprotected sex with a guy with HIV. Later we see her blood all over Tony. Please, please tell me thaty aren't going to try to raise AIDS awareness by giving Tony AIDS. That would be so lame.

You know, for some reason it didn't cross mine. Personally, I suspect it's just another red herring introduced to create some sort of drama for the people in CTU to be involved in, so they're not just there while Jack takes center stage.
