24 Finale SPOILERS! Nina's Back!

Ok, just kidding. Nina's nowhere to be seen...

He cut Chase's hand off with an axe! I couldn't believe it! When he looked over at that axe...I thought, "NO WAY!" But he did...wow.

And Gael's wife goes crazy...ouch.

Nice episode, although I was waiting for something nasty to happen at the end...some kind of cliffhanger.

What did the guy say over the radio? I couldn't quite understand him. "Jack, we're interrogating Saunder's ______ right now. We could use your help."

What did he say? Superior? Carrier? It sounded something like that...

Thoughts?

That would be a trick, seeing as how we saw her die. :)

What with the rumors of Sutherland leaving the show, I was expecting him to do something rash at the end there. Seeing him lose it and cry was really cool though.

Yeah, the axe was an awesome touch. My wife unit, who usually hates that stuff, thought it was brilliant.

Once againg, they stretched my disbeleif when Ghaele's wife killed the BBEG, RIGHT before he could identify the carrier. Close calls are a nice touch, but they use them too often in that show. WAY too often. I think I've never seen close-calls used that much in a show or movie before. Marvel Comic's Black Cat would watch that show and say "DAMN, that's some bad luck !".

Me and my better 50% don't think we'll watch next year's 24. We really liked this final episode, but it's so stupid at times that we feel our brain cells desintegrating with each episode.

You know, when Jack and President Palmer were talking over the phone, I was expecting Jack to ask Palmer to issue a Presidental Pardon for Tony. It surprises me that Tony is really going to jail.

Jack cutting Tony's arm off with the axe surprised me. When it showed a glimpse of the surgical team at the end, it almost looked like they were re-attaching it. Now, I know a couple of people who have gotten fingers re-attached, but is it possible to do that with an arm? Any medical buffs here?

Jack breaking down and sobbing at the end of the episode was another surprise. I guess the adrenaline finally wore off from the last few hours and the guilt over being forced to kill Chapelle finally got to him.

I was a little disappointed over the method of Saunder's death, though: Getting shot was too merciful for him. He should have been locked in the hotel to die slowly of the virus.

All in all, it was a good season finale. Kinda makes me wonder what next season is going to be about.

It didn't disappoint. I too was surprised that nothing shocking happened at the last second. With the president heading off to the motorcade and Jack hitting the ignition of the vehicle, I had this feeling that one of those vehicles had a bomb strapped to it. Apparently not and the heroes get to live... at least until next season.

I thought the breakdown was good, too, although I'll confess I was kind of mentally tuning out by then.

I guess my theory about Palmer becoming evil is off base. Oh well. It was just a theory.

No real surprises for me, I must confess. I hope they find some excuse to bring back Tony in the future. He's a good guy, really. Michelle really ought to be back, so was so freakin' *good* this season.

So, next season, I see Chase working in the office and HATING it, until about half way through the season he's forced out into the field, and dies. On his baby daughter's birthday no less, which Kim is home preparing, only to be kidnapped by a conspiracy of international cougers, ...., er, or something like that.
