It should... but going by the rules, it's an Ex ability, and not imparted.

This was specifically prohibited in the 3.0 version. It is not anymore. I know you keep your "HP", but is that the unmodified base?

I am confused. If it DOES change, then all a Druid cares about is Wis...and polymorph *was* the exception to the change con mod ---> change HP rule...

I don't have my books in front of me... don't Tieflings qualify as "Humanoids"? Wouldn't they then be able to Alter Self into any Humanoid?

Tieflings are type Outsider (native). so they don't get humanoids. But they get much much better options (I have a list of the MM options on page 1 or 2...) The native designation just means they can be raised like humanoids (true outsiders can't) and need to eat and sleep

For alter self, it doesn't matter: that spell doesn't change your attributes.

This makes it impossible for any Tiefling to use Alter Self as a disguise... if they can't just make themselves look HUMAN... it's not going to be much good to them to simply disguise themselves as other types of outsiders, when using the spell for its "disguise" purpose.
