3.5 orders shipped!

I just checked my buy.com order, and all three of my books shipped today!! The free shipping promotion worked! $56.58 total for all three books!! Hot damn I can't wait! I also ordered (because of the free shipping) Ultimate Alien Anthology and Dragonstar: Heart of the Machine, which both shipped a few days ago. I figured it out, and even with the prices cheaper now on 3.5, I made out by 5 bucks because of the free shipping.

When did you order? It was recently, was it not?

Were the books listed as in stock when you ordered? I'd love to order from them, but they're listed as "On order" (i.e., awaiting delivery from the printers), and they can't tell me when they'll get in new books.

I ordered them on the 7th (strangely enough, out of my 200 dollar order, they cancelled my book of exalted deeds and complete warrior.. it was over the 20 pound limit).

When I ordered them, I'm fairly certain it said "Back ordered"... Now it says "on order"... Hm... It could have said "on order", too... I'm sorry I'm not much help. All I know is that I've got a tracking number and that they shipped today.

Oh, man. You know, when you mentioned it, I almost bought from buy.com. But the back-order thing bothered me. And I'd already ordered from Amazon.

Now I have orders in to both Amazon and Walmart, and of course I'm planning to cancel one as soon as one ships; and I'm wishing I could just cancel both and order from buy.com.

Don't feel bad. I got a bit panicky at first too. I had an order through Amazon for a while... And when the buy.com shipping deal came around, I put the order in and cancelled the Amazon one. Then people show me the fine print about items having to be in stock... It didn't help when they cancelled two of my books (see above) without warning. I was even more worried when I saw that Amazon had apparently raised the prices on two of the books a few bucks. So... fortunately, my books shipped today, and I'm a happy (and lucky) camper.

I should have paid for USPS shipping.

Just checked UPS tracking on my 3.5 shipment ... left Nashville yesterday, and as of 0430 this AM it was at the UPS shipping center 20 minutes from my house.

Too bad UPS doesn't work weekends.

But that means I should be good for a Monday delivery.

I have read that they will update the SRD on 7/18. It was either here or on the wizards board, only yesterday or so.
