Prone and Marked are on your screen and explained in detail what they are.

As for shrouded, I am a little rusty on this but I know Assassins use shrouds a lot to attack. Don't ask me what they do though as I have never played Assassins.

ok well i dont understand prone, Marked, or Shrouded at all
Prone = lying down. Harder to hit from far away, easier when next to someone. Takes time to stand back up.

Marked = your attention has been grabbed by someone. You can choose to hit them or try to control your temper at a penalty if you attack someone else.

Shrouded = An assassin has picked you out for death. He'll do more damage to you.

Shrouded is something that applies only to the Assassin class, which is something that is in Dragon magazine, so you probably don't ever need to worry about it unless someone decides to play an Assassin.

Prone just means the creature is down on the ground. Quite a few powers can knock people prone, you could also use it when someone gets knocked over by some environmental effect (the boat crashes into the pier, you are all knocked prone!). Mechanically if you're prone you grant combat advantage, etc. It can actually be advantageous to be prone if the enemy is shooting ranged attacks at you. A character can use a minor action to fall prone, it takes a move action to stand up again.

Marked is a special condition that is used to allow Defenders to force an opponent to focus on them. If a creature is marked it has a -2 to all attack rolls against anyone except the character that marked it. As far as what it means in-game is not really strictly defined. Maybe the fighter taunts the orc, or maybe he is really good at pressing his attacks so that its hard for the orc to turn and deal with someone else instead. You can interpret it different ways in different situations.

And marking is interpreted different ways for different classes. Fighters, Paladins, Swordmagi and Barbarians all mark differently. And as far as I know, they don't stack. You can't mark something twice...though this gets a little complicated with other ways of "marking" that aren't called marking. Like the Avenger's Aegis or the Ranger's Hunter's Quarry.

thanks

, always helpful! but i do have a question... is it good to say no to your players when they try to make the campiagn alittle too much about themselves? i mean i want to incorperate each player but this specific player is trying to be alittle to overbearing...

Looks like you have the player who is demanding more than his fair share of attention.

Had it myself, the best way is to take the player aside, saying that the campaign is NOT just about them and try to involve the other players in what he does.

yeah, i guess thats for the best. i wasnt quite sure. thanks! all right whats something else i need help with :p do you know of anywhere i can find miniatures that arnt 7 dollars for onr single? my group will want figures of there players soon and i cant find any reasonably priced ones

Can';t help you there, mate. Only place I know that has them like that is in Sydney, though if you're willing to pay for the shipping you could get them for less with the exchange rate.
