That is what I mean by "turned it off". Mage Hand isn't strong enough to break the thing, but it's manually disabled, yes.
You have a basic rudimentary understanding of how it works (which is better than most under Blackpeak) but still, it was simply guesswork.
Posting a nudge for my fellow spelunkophiles. Team Caves, assemble!

@VLAD the Destroyer & @Steve Gorak - I think I may have put the wrong one of you in the water. Are either of you under the water with Bjorn? I've forgotten and my map shows Aywin, which seems wrong to me. Or maybe I'm wrong about that...

Well, that was unexpected. I’d kind of thought they’d have done that an hour ago.
I’m just going to surrender and try to distract them away from the rest of the party. Maybe lead them toward the kobolds if you guys hide.
The other option is to fight them at the intersection. I only have 25 hp left because the fanatics keep shooting past my resistance so I’m not really in a fighty mood but if we can bottle neck them and remove line of sight, maybe we can take them. I kind of doubt it though.
