D&D 5E 5 Essential Encounters in a Wizard's Tower

Quickleaf

Legend
Crystal Ball of Imprisonment

Time-delayed crystal ball which depicts the PCs' past actions in bursts, inching closer and closer to the present, and if watched long enough, reveals future actions – but through a twisted mischievous lens that showcases the PCs' worst impulses or comical failings (often at the expense of their companions). Is it actually revealing the true future or is it a magical deception?

If destroyed, the crystal ball releases the glabrezu demon bound within, which is inclined to negotiate due to an abjuration/enchantment upon it forcing it to grant one wish asked of it by the person breaking the crystal ball. However, the glabrezu attempts to keep this knowledge to itself – if it's never asked, it doesn't have to deliver, or if it's unconsciously asked for something as a cruel joke or haphazardly, it gets to twist that un-artful wish in a malicious way.

If taken (it identifies as a crystal ball) and attuned, the attuned wielder is slowly replaced by a doppelganger, with the wielder's consciousness eventually being trapped within a mirror of life trapping or other McGuffin suitable to BGDiA.
