Might as well do it here since it's already an AD&D to 5E conversion thread.

I'd do the Cairn first, if only to be alphabetical.

By the way, the Raam is the same as the Rom from 2E AD&D's MC13 Monstrous Compendium Al-Qadim Appendix (1992), so it qualifies too.

Both have 3E conversions in the Creature Catalog.
In other news, I revisited these (as am getting round to working on dodkong and minions)....cairn is really boring as a statblock. have made some more interesting homebrew, which I can throw up on a homebrew thread.

Well what would you do to make them more interesting?

The original Cairn wasn't that different mechanically from a living Stone Giant. Better defenses (AC, magic weapons to hit, weird telepathic sense, undead immunities) and that's about it.

Their attacks did a hair more base damage but that's hardly exciting.
