I statted this at CR 3 as that's what we needed for a CR 3 aerial critter for the exalted thrall of Pazuzu. I didn't know about the statblocks in Polyhedron Magazine, but this fits nicely. Could easily make a CR 1 or CR 2 male as well.

Incidentally I mentioned "Titanic Tabanid" as I've used "Titanic" as a prefix for larger than "giant" in my own statblocks - e.g.
"titanic spider"

Let's no rush too far ahead.

It gets confusing if we have more than one critter being converted on a thread and we haven't finished the Mystaran Dragonfly Nymph yet.

Here's the last post I did on the Nymph.

I don't have the energy to compare six sets of stats right now, so checking these will have to wait for later.

What about the Mystaran Dragonfly Nymph?

Basic questions are:

Will we give it the same DEX and CON saves as the adults or cut it down to CON save only or no save proficiency at all?

Shall we give it the Ambusher trait like a regular Giant Dragonfly Nymph?

I'm presuming that the Mystaran version doesn't have a Death Mask but I think we can give it Jet Dash.

Finally, we need to set a damage for the bite and breath weapon.

I'm thinking maybe 5 (1d6 + 2) slashing for the former and maybe 4 (1d8) acid for the latter?

If that's OK I'll punch those numbers into the calculator and find out what CR that is, then we can tweak it if necessary.

Oh, and the final question is I was thinking of doing a Tiny "hatchling sized" Nymph so we can also stat up a Swarm of the little buggers!

From your reply, we're going for CON save only and you wanted to cut the DEX although I'm fine keeping it DEX 15 like a regular giant dragonfly nymph.

You okay giving it Ambusher and Jet Dash?

Hmm… I fancy mixing it up a little and making the Dash a Bonus Action so it can use it to charge in to attack as well as flee.

Like so:

Apart from that, I reckon we ought to consider Stealth proficiency.

The CR Calculator says it's Challenge 1/2 or 1 depending on whether it has Ambusher or not.

Having advantage on a surprise attack roll hardly seems worth a doubling of the Challenge Rating, so I'm inclined to make it a CR 1/2 ambusher.

Pretty much, save for one tweak:

Jet Dash (Recharge 4–6). The mystaran dragonfly nymph swims up to 30 feet.

The Giant Dragonfly Nymph's dash was 5-6 not 4-6, which I like a bit better.
