Sorry, I'm just getting excited. I like having magic, especially illusion stuff, because it lets me think outside the box, but I've always played low level games, so I never get ahold of any real magic items.
Having magic items changes things. The item can do the magic, and I'm free to play around with the character. Like Rogues. I've never played one. Well, once, but he multied into a Warlock at level 2, because I can't seem to not have magic.
But looking at Rogue's normal abilities, besides the subclass ones, and at higher levels, Rogues are BEASTS. At level 11, 6d6 sneak attack, which triggers anytime he has advantage, or when an ally is close to his target. Halve any damage he gets, better Dex saves against spells, can't fail a skill check if he has proficiency, hell at level 13, he can't roll less than a 20 on any skill check that he has expertise in, which is four skills at this point. It's insane!
