D&D 5E 5E Survivor - 5th Edition Survives! [+]

Wow. Genuinely surprised by the dislike of 3e and it’s clone, with 3.5 not far behind.

Seems like it was caught between the old guard of 1e/2e and the revolutionary forces of 4e. With everyone pissed at it.

Once it’s dead, in a battle between 4e and 1e I think I know who will win… 1e has strength in numbers!

I'd have blown up 3.0 early but had 3.5 as the runner up to the winner. It's a reflection of my thinking of 3.5 representing the whole era.

I also work have blown up the Pathfinders because they aren't D&D in a poll about the best version of D&D.

Downvotes aren't necessarily a dislike of the system itself.

Pathfinder may not be my brand of "D&D" but it is definitely "D&D" - then again if I knew people playing Tunnels & Trolls, I'd also call that D&D without hesitation because they were born out of D&D. Now something like GURPS Fantasy I would not call D&D except in the broadest possible way in which I call ALL RPGs D&D like I call all instamatic cameras "polaroids" and all photocopiers "The Xerox."
