5th lvl cleric spells?

Ive been playing a fighter/cleric of tempest for about 6 months now ive manged to get to lv 10 but im struggling to find some good 5th lv cleric spells to use, any body now of any? bye the way i play 2nd edition dnd i dont know if that makes a differnces or not.
Ive not been playing long so forgive the newbieness. lol

Not an everyday repertoire spell, but: Commune. Nothing beats plot-point confirmation by your god.

Edit to add: Whoa. I completely missed the bit about 2nd-edition. Yeah, you may want to follow the link to Dragonsfoot. Or perhaps change the thread title to include the fact that you're asking about 2ed.

Summon monster V! And then only summon Sum Mon I level monsters by the dozens.

After that, it's flamestrike time.

If you still can't find any, then you can always heighten or empower lower level spells if you take a feat for it.

This could be a tough one. Possibly you might want to ask at http://dragonsfoot.org/forums/ , a site that has more people who still play 2nd edition AD&D. I personally have no idea what the 2nd edition spells are like for clerics. Good luck!

Neither do I. I've only played 3e clerics.

The only things I recall being said abt 2e clerics: no spontaneous Cure spells, can only use bludgeoning weapons (mace, morningstar...), and there's alot of what they called "specialty priests" out there...

Other than that, I have no idea.

Raise Dead. Righteous Might. Quickened Divine Favor. Flame Strike. Commune. Stilled Freedom of Movment. Empowered Cure Serious Wounds. Empowered Searing Light (when used verses undead, specifically). Extended Death Ward. Slay Living.

I ask myself the same question.....
